About Northern Colorado Active 20/30

Providing young business leaders and entrepreneurs with an opportunity for personal growth, friendships and leadership development while improving the quality of life for the special needs children in our community. “One never stands so tall as when kneeling to help a child”.

Northern Colorado Active 20/30 (NOCO 20/30) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization comprised of business leaders between the ages of 20 and 39 that are focused on raising money for charities serving disadvantaged children in Northern Colorado. We were chartered in May of 2007 with five originating members, and have now grown to 36 active members and 6 past-active members. One of the primary purposes of our organization is to be a fundraising catalyst in our regional community for those charities serving special needs youth. We find ourselves serving a function that is desperately needed, and which is so frequently a challenge for charities in our community. Through philanthropy, our organization provides opportunities to young and emerging leaders for personal growth, leadership development, and a sense of community. By engaging young community leaders in philanthropy earlier in life, we aim to enhance the base for this community service throughout the northern Colorado region.

NOCO 20/30 currently hosts three very distinct fundraising and community activities, the Down and Derby Party, the Suitcase Party, and Christmas for Kids. Through these events we have been able to consistently outperform fundraising benchmarks year over year, finding new ways to not only promote giving in our region, but also in partnering with various groups locally and by reaching outside of our region and state for matching dollars to further leverage the community giving realized at each of our events. It is this outside leverage that makes NOCO 20/30 a unique organization, and creates the opportunity for our supporters to directly import philanthropic dollars from outside sources which would not otherwise be available to our community.

NOCO 20/30 consistently raised over $100,000 annually since its inception, and is now driving over $200,000 annually to the charities of northern Colorado that fit with our mission and criteria, an ambitious goal for an organization of young, volunteer entrepreneurs with only four years of history behind it.
